The course will be taught by a team which includes a five-time serial tech entrepreneur with a record that includes two companies which broke through the billion-dollar public valuation threshold, a senior analyst of all significant clean tech companies trading on the stock exchanges, and a well-known Professor of Entrepreneurship at the USC Marshall School of Business.
Course Summary:
This is an intensive course for early-stage companies that have already sketched out a business plan. Graduates of the course will finish with an upgraded plan that they will have developed with feedback from their peers and outside experts. The purpose of the course is to shorten a team’s time from first investment to first profit by focusing on key tasks and on avoiding common mistakes.
The course will be limited to twelve teams who appear to have the best chance of creating a successful clean tech business.
The course will consist of 16 2 ½-hour sessions, generally two per week from October 16th to December 15th. The sessions will be both virtual and in-person. The in-person sessions will be held in both the Sacramento area and the Fresno area. In addition, there will be exercises to be completed outside of the classes and submitted for evaluation.
The cost of the course is $300 per person or $1,000 per team, whichever is less. Scholarships available.
