1 Million Cups Sacramento with StarSea Quests and Helping Hand

You’re invited to 1 Million Cups Sacramento! Every Wednesday morning, one or two entrepreneurs present their early-stage businesses in 6 minute presentations that are followed by 20 minutes of questions, feedback and advice from an audience of their peers. Join us on Zoom every Wednesday. Doors open at 8:45 AM. and the program starts promptly at 9 AM (we aren’t kidding — you’ll miss the first presentation if you’re 10 minutes late. But come anyway!).

PRESENTERS

StarSea Quests develops creative learning tools that blend story, imagination, and emotional wellness to support whole-child growth. Our first title, Starsea and the Shimmering Light, introduces children to the world of energy and emotion through a heart-centered adventure story. Future releases, including an interactive card deck and guided “quests,” will expand the experience into mindfulness-based learning practices that connect emotional literacy with curiosity and wonder. Designed for both home and alternative education settings, StarSea Quests bridges creativity and emotional development through the universal language of play.

Helping Hand is addressing language deprivation and the lack of accessible, interactive ASL learning for K–12 children. Our solution is a robotic arm that teaches ASL language through real-time demonstration and AI vision feedback.
