June 15 @ 9:00 am - 9:30 am
After water, concrete is the second most widely used substance in the world and small changes in concrete production can have a drastic impact on everyday life. Concrete is one of the largest contributors to Greenhouse gas emissions but it doesn’t have to be that way.
Join us as we chat with Sac State professor Jose Garcia to learn the details about how concreate contributes to Greenhouse gas and how that impact can be reduced.
Jose E. Garcia, Ph.D. is a civil engineering professor in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Sacramento State. His research focuses on identifying new ways to produce concrete that are more environmentally friendly, durable, and resilient.
