Technology is essential for the future of agriculture. While plants may not be able to communicate their needs directly to farmers, technological tools and methods can help farmers better understand and respond to their crops using real-time data such as nutrient levels, soil moisture and temperature which in return will optimize yield and minimize waste.
Our guest, Shely Aronov is the co-founder and CEO of InnerPlant, a biotech company that has developed a plant communication platform. She is an experienced entrepreneur and graduated from Tel Aviv University before receiving an MBA from Standford.
InnerPlant creates crops that communicate via optical signals when they’re thirsty or sick to increase yields and reduce reliance on chemicals.
