SBIR/STTR Program Essentials

Let’s talk about the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, known as America’s Seed Fund. In this virtual workshop, we will be discussing grant programs, how to plan for your submission, and the types of planning which go into a Phase I and Phase II grant. In addition to providing a general overview, we will focus on National Institutes of Health (NIH) programs in this presentation, covering specific topics of interest to the NIH and how to access this information. Department of Defense (DoD) programs, known as Broad Agency Announcements, will also be covered. 

The SBIR/STTR grant process allows you to plan your long-term financial goals more effectively while also receiving industry expert review. By applying for and winning an SBIR/STTR award, your venture will receive funding to conduct R&D, retain the rights to the intellectual property, and have the opportunity to obtain additional funding to continue the development of the technology.
