Learn how to identify how your product or service meets the needs of your customers and what gaps remain. Adopting Design Thinking practices will give you access to the stories and experiences of your current and future customers which will help you to better align what you offer to their needs.

Design Thinking is a powerful and creative problem-solving methodology. It offers an array of mindsets and tools for understanding your customers and testing ideas, with minimal risk, for producing a solution that works. Part of the process incorporates elements of Lean Six Sigma and Agile. It starts with connecting with the people who have the need or problem you want to solve. The workshop introduces you to how to discover business opportunities, blind spots, and design strengths and flaws. It will help you build your confidence that your customers’ paths will intersect with your business.

This workshop will be taught by Innoveate, a company that specializes in helping organization produce innovative change and creative solutions. By bringing Design Thinking into organizations through training, consulting, and coaching, they help owners and leaders get done what is most important.

Brad Mahaney (MA, ACC, PMP), Candice Morgan (MA), and Janet Mahrle (MA, PCC) are the founding partners of Innoveate. They all hold Masters degrees in Organizational Learning and Effectiveness and coaching certifications. Their broad base of experience brings a unique combination of insight into diverse types of organizations in a variety of sectors. From organizations just starting up to those with long histories, they support leaders and their teams to discover the right problems to solve and how best to solve them.

Brad Mahaney

Brad Mahaney’s career has been spent within the Investment Management and Financial Services Industry, with 25+ years working in Project Management. He has extensive experience providing project management, oversight and project sponsorship on large, complex, global system-related implementations utilizing various forms of technology. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Project Management Institute, Sacramento chapter where he currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer.

Candice Morgan

Candice Morgan found the outlets for her talents in design and coaching. After her decade plus in corporate finance, she is leveraging her affinity for humans to help bring clarity and progress to individuals and organizations. Candice is the founder of Anchored Coaching and has a certification in Design Thinking from IDEO.

Janet Mahrle

Janet Mahrle brings 30+ years of personal senior leadership experience, coaching, consulting, and facilitation to her role at Innoveate. Leadership development and applying design thinking principles and practices to serve clients are her specialties. She enjoys a reputation of being engaging, lighthearted, and inspirational. Rising leaders to C-Suite executives experience her ability to help them realize their personal and organizational goals.
