CleanStart 2017

2017 has begun and we intend to make it year of growth in clean tech in the Sacramento Region.

CleanStart announces our first event of 2017! Join us at The Urban Hive on January 26 to network with our clean tech community. Come interact with passionate people who are working to build the sustainable technologies of the future! In addition to catching up with your friends and making some new ones, learn about some of Sacramento's region clean tech companies by exploring the exhibit area. CleanStart's executive team, Gary Simon, chairman of the board, and Thomas Hall, executive director, will update you on our Restart CleanStart crowdfunding campaign and share our exciting plans for 2017.

Regional UpDate

Sacramento Startup Tenkiv announced this month that it is raising funds via its second Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to finish deployment of its revolutionary Solar Thermal Energy System. The company set out to raise $50,000 on Kickstarter to produce the first batch of water sanitation systems called the Tenkiv Nexus to be piloted in developing communities across Asia and Africa. Tenkiv's latest innovation is going to allow humanitarian organizations to provide clean water to communities with little to no infrastructure for a fraction of the cost of existing technologies.
