According to the Workplace Bullying Institute, 30% of workers in the U.S. have direct experience with being bullied. Workplace bullying "means harassing, offending, socially excluding some or negatively affecting someone's work tasks" and "occur repeatedly and regularly" (Einarsen et al., 2003, p. 15).
Join us in the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Library 1520, on Wednesday, Sept 14 from 4 -5pm for this anti-bullying presentation. In this presentation, Dr. Ståle Einarsen, a leading scholar of workplace bullying from the University of Bergen, will address the factors that influence the occurrence, development, and consequences of workplace bullying. Importantly, he will address how to intervene to help targets and rehabilitate bullies and organizations. This event is free and open to the public, and requires an RSVP.
RSVP here.
Dr. Einarsen’s visit is supported by the Center for Teaching and Learning Visiting Scholars Program; the Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; the College of Business; and SAIOP.
