The New Year is starting with a bang! First, let me thank all of you who contributed to our crowdfunding campaign to make it such a success. Counting all online and direct contributions, we raised over $10,000, an increase of 20% over the prior year. It is much appreciated.
We have had some very good news from our clean tech community as the year closes. Tenkiv and Terzo Power were finalists for the Sacramento Region Sustainability Innovation Award.
From Our Executive Director: 7 years ago I volunteered at CleanStart’s CleanTech Showcase. I worked months recruiting companies to exhibit their new technologies and watched an exciting ecosystem develop.
It’s Big Bang Season! If you want to give life to a clean tech idea, a great way to do that is to find a team and enter UCD’s Big Bang Business Plan Competition. Contest rules require it be a new idea.
